The taste of the sea and a love of fish
Boccaccio > Daily life
The Cannatella family has been cooking up a
storm at the heart of one of Nice’s main pedestrian precincts, Rue Masséna, for
the last 50 years. Today, Boccaccio is the flagship of the culinary fleet.
After honing Italian and traditional cuisine with,
in particular, a paella which has turned into an institution at Boccaccio, the
chef decided to evolve towards a sophisticated, fish-based gastronomy. Fish and
seafood take pride of place in the restaurant, where the chef’s deftness with seafood
inspires all of his recipes.
You will find this inspiration in the
establishment’s signature dishes, which include Lobster Salad with Citrus,
Scallop Carpaccio with Truffle, Tuna and Guacamole Tartare and Salt Crusted Sea
Bass.
